Trent and I were born and raised in the central area of Louisiana, both also being only children. We grew up about 20 minutes from each other but never met in person until 2022. Trent and I had become close friends the year prior but I was too nervous about dating, especially with a small child. We finally went on our first date in late November of ‘22. I immediately knew from the first time we met that Trent would be my forever person. We both had similar backgrounds, families, morals, and interests. We knew right away we wanted a relationship with each other, and we have been inseparable ever since! Trent quickly became my best friend. We became engaged the Summer of ‘23 and married in February of ‘24. Trent immediately stepped in to fill the step-daddy role to my son, Carson. Trent is a tankerman on a tugboat and I am a junior high math teacher and also a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. We have two cats, Maggie and Milo, and an Australian Shepherd named Brodie.

Trent and I are quite the quirky couple! There is never a dull moment and the majority of our time is spent laughing and just enjoying each other’s company. We love anything Disney, traveling, gaming, LSU sports, fantasy football, animals, the outdoors, concerts and spending quality time with our friends and family. Trent and I have made our home on approximately ten acres down the little dirt road that my parents brought me home from the hospital on back in the early 90’s. It is just such a beautiful place and I have never left. We attend a local church. We are parents to two cats and a dog. We have an amazing and supportive family. We share many mutual friends. Our friends and family have been an absolute Godsend throughout the past year.

We became pregnant shortly after marrying. I was told it would be very difficult for me to become pregnant with the health issues I have. We found out that we were having a girl. What a dream! With great excitement came great turmoil when I went into labor nearing 18 weeks, delivering our beautiful angel, Adeline Claire, into the hands of God. With the loss of Addi-Claire also came the loss of my fertility. It was one of the most heartbreaking moments we had ever endured. Though we have not been married long, our marriage is incredibly strong and backed by the Lord. We have prayed and discussed our future and decided we have so much love to share and that adoption is the route God is leading us!
